Khrysso's Digital Art
Khrysso likes to work directly with paper to make collages and sculptures, but at times it's fun (not to mention neater) to lay slips of paper on a scanner and then run the scans through all kinds of Photoshop applications.
Digital designs are easily stored, easily displayed on a web site, and easily reproduced at a wide range of magnifications and presentations. More importantly for you, the art lover, they are very versatile.
A lot of times, Khrysso envisions his work splashed across entire walls, preferably several stories tall. But it's easier for most people who appreciate his work to bring it home on something more the size of a picture frame... or a greeting card.
Unlike traditional art media, digital art can be customized. Some images can be stretched or squeezed to other ratios; e.g., a rectangle can be converted to a square or vice versa. Others, because of symmetry or special effects, are not so easily manipulated.
But we're happy to be creative in accommodating you if you think you might like a design in your space but need it to take up a specific amount of real estate on your wall. The dimensions here pleased Khrysso's eye when he designed the works.
The thumbnail clips on these pages are sorted by size ratio. Images can be enlarged to your liking: an image listed as 4 x 5 can be printed at 4" x 5"--or 8" x 10" (a standard size for photos), or 12" x 15", or 16" x 20" (a standard size also); 3x4 can be produced at 9" x 12", 18" x 24" (poster-sized), etc. Or 6' x 8', for that matter.
"Golden" refers to works that are at a 5-to-8 ratio in proportion, the ratio historically regarded as particularly pleasing to the human eye. To read more about the Golden Ratio, click here or here.
Designs can be produced on paper as Giclée or Laser Prints or on Dye-Infused Metal.
Giclée is a high-quality ink-jet print on photographic paper. (Click on the highlighted link to read about the process.)
Laser Prints are produced at high resolution on substantial paper.
You can purchase giclée or laser prints plain, with simple mats, or with full custom framing.
Dye-Infused Metal involves producing graphic images by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. The metal prints fairly glow! Dye-infused metal art is archival in quality, and particularly suitable for settings where temperature and moisture might reasonably be concerns. And the prices are competitive with costs of custom framing.
Click your way through the icons below to view images at each ratio. There are dozens of designs to choose from.
Contact Khrysso directly to discuss options and pricing for any of these reproduction techniques. He accepts commissions for customer work as well.
